A new DEVS-Suite Simulator (Version 3.0.0) is released (April 10, 2015). This simulator supports generating/visualizing super-dense time trajectories (i.e., zero-time step state transitions with I/O and +/- infinity bands for time advance function. Graduate Research Assistantship in Computer Science (available Summer 2014)
Description: Research focuses on modeling and simulation of coupled human and landscape systems. The research involves developing ideas and methods for creating simulation models and experiments. This project involves collaboration with domain experts engaged in studying human activities using agent-based modeling and landscape processes using discrete-time and statistical modeling. The duration of this research assistantship is expected to be 4 years.
Skills: Strong foundation in software development and discrete mathematics; Proficiency in Java or C/C++ programming; Experience in software engineering tools.
